Terms and Conditions

Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of services provided by The Hosting Consultancy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Nature of Service

We provide a one‑time hosting setup service for short‑stay property owners. This includes system setup, listing optimisation, pricing strategy, automations, cleaner workflow design, and owner training.

We do not provide ongoing property management, guest communication, or emergency support.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete property information

  • Ensure the property meets all legal, safety, and insurance requirements

  • Provide timely responses and required assets

  • Add us as a temporary co‑host (or provide temporary access)

  • Manage all guest communication after handover

  • Manage pricing and calendar updates after handover

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before work begins

  • If a payment plan is offered, a 50% deposit is required to start

  • Remaining balance is due upon completion of the setup

  • No work will commence until payment is received

4. Refund Policy

Refunds are only available before setup work begins. Once any part of the setup has commenced, no refunds will be issued.

5. Scope of Work

The service includes one listing, one platform (unless multi‑platform is purchased), one cleaner workflow, one handover session, and one round of revisions.

Additional work is billed separately.

6. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Guest behaviour, damages, or disputes

  • Platform outages, suspensions, or errors

  • Incorrect information provided by the client

  • Cleaner performance

  • Revenue outcomes

  • Losses arising from hosting activities

Clients accept full responsibility for their property and hosting operations.

7. Intellectual Property

All templates, documents, systems, and training materials remain our intellectual property. They may not be shared, resold, or distributed.

8. Access & Privacy

We will be added as a temporary co‑host solely for setup purposes. We will not access guest messages, accept bookings, or alter pricing after handover. We remove ourselves upon completion.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate before work begins. Once work has commenced, the full fee is payable.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
